Off-the-job hours: Expectations for apprentices' work time

Are apprentices expected to complete work-related tasks outside of their scheduled work hours?

Students are expected to work in their own time, on assignments, homework, exam preparation and research. Tutors will set regular pieces of work for students to complete outside formal timetabled classes.
