Apprentices’ off-the-job training
How much time is needed for apprentices’ off-the-job training?
Apprentices are required to allocate 20% of their time, or one day per week, to developing occupational competency skills. Tutor sessions typically occur in the mornings for convenience. The goal is to enable apprentices to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours to achieve occupational competency by the end of their program.
